This range are the only USB extenders in the world to be approved by the USB-IF (USB Implementer's Forum) and operate in a completely transparent fashion. They use standard CAT 5 cable, so an off the shelf Ethernet patch lead or a pre-installed office network can be used to extend USB connections.
USB WiRanger - Wireless USB2.0 Extender
 The WiRanger package comprises of
2 x USB extender units (LEX - Local Extender, REX - Remote Extender) that provide seamless wireless USB extension up to 30m (Please note that range may be reduced in electromagnetically noisy or unsuitable environments). The units are pre-paired providing a working solution out of the box. This allows you to quickly and easily reap the benefits of wireless technology - no more messy cables and no costly cable installation. The WiRanger also allows connectivity in or across areas where cables cannot be laid or can be used to exceed the 5m distance limit of wired USB.

Standard Cat 5 (or better) cabling is used in between a LEX (Local Extender) & a REX (Remote Extender) to extend USB connections. This means that standard Ethernet patch cables or existing Cat 5 networks can be used as the medium for USB extension. The Rover series products always comprise a LEX & REX unit, everything you need for a working connection (less the interconnecting cable)
