USB-DAQ/DIO-BOX  -  2500V galvanically isolated !!

The new MI-16080 series, is a family of small portable USB data acquisition boxes with an galvanically isolation of 2500V. It combines 16 analog inputs, 8 analog outputs and 10 digital ports in a very small aluminum enclosure. Please click for more details !


For OEM customers the inside PCB is also available separately with an extended temperature range of -40°C to +120°C and a galvanically isolation of 2500V !!

USB-DAQ/DIO + DSP with included Signal Conditioning

The USB2-DAQ/DIO 
with its included Motorola DSP Controller and the USB 2.0 support is a powerful and very modular system for USB based Data Acquisition and Control.

For nearly all types of measurement signals and transmitters, e.g. Temperature, Pressure, Bridge Transducer, Voltage or Current signals, SAK-Amplifier-Boards are available with or without galvanic isolation. Each SAK-Amplifier-Board transforms the input signal range to an output signal from -10V (-5V) to +10V (+5V). Generally SAK-Boards are available with 1, 2 or 4 measuring channels. The SAK-Boards have 19" plug in boards. They are placed into the USB2-DAQ Base Units. The input signals are mechanically connected to the SAK-Board by BNC connectors, Lemo connectors or screw terminals. The included DSP board of the USB2-DAQ System allows you to use all analog and digital input and output channels simultaneously at the same time. The SAK-Amplifier Boards are completed by Lowpass Filter, Sample & Hold and Triggerfunctions.

USB-Datalogger with up to 8GB Memory



GigaLog-S-DIN is a 24 bit data logger for up to 8 Gbytes of data using miniSD memory cards. With GigaLog S any embedded system can log its data easily, for a very long period, and readable by a PC. GigaLog-S-DIN automatically recognizes miniSD memory cards, and creates files to store the data into it. When switching power on, or changing the memory card, new data will be appended to the files. Stored data can be read on a PC using a simple miniSD adapter. The memory card appears as a removable disk to the PC. All data from the Rs232 is in a single file, analog data in another file on the disk. You may also upload stored data from the board by USB or Rs232 into a file on the PC.

GigaLog-S-DIN is available as board or in a housing to be mounted on a DIN rail. GigaLog-S-DIN is also available with a graphic LCD to show rescend data.

Storing data from analog or digital inputs
Gigalog S has 16 single-ended inputs. Couples of inputs can be used as differential inputs. Each input can be configured as analog, digital, or counter. Gigalog samples these inputs regularly and stores them on the disk in a file.

Remote Control
GigaLog S can be completely controlled by a modem: Verify state, change configuration, disk handling, upload logged data. Each input has a min and a max threshold. When the input violates a threshold, an alarm occurs. An alarm may toggle a relay, write a message into a disk file, call a centre using a phone, or send an SMS, using a GSM modem. You may define a command macro, that calls a centre, or sends an SMS each hour, day, or once a week.

Transfer data to an Internet Server
GigaLog S can place its data directly on an Internet server by FTP using a special modem.

More Inputs

You may add more inputs to the GigaLog S data logger using Remote Acquisition modules. These Modules are frequently used in industries, and they come from several suppliers. Advantech® ADAM-4000, Adlink® NµDAM-6000 ICP® I-7000, eDAM-8000. Use the RS2 port of the GigaLog S board to create a RS485 network. The GigaLog S is the master of the network. You may connect up to 9 slaves to GigaLog S. Other GigaLog S board can also be connected as slave modules. GigaLog S handles up to 100 inputs, a0 to a15 are on the board, a16 to a99 are remote. You may configure for all inputs the expression to calculate the engineering value from the raw value before storing it to the memory card. All inputs can be displayed on the LCD, and on the optional graphical LCD.

Graphic Display = Gigalog-S-LCD
A graphic display can be connected to GigaLog S. The display replaces the alpha numeric display. 320 x 240 Pixel, 5.7 inch. Colour, Technology TFT, Backlight, Touch panel. The display shows 15 channels on 3 pages, 5 channels per page.



The graphic display shows the last 60 seconds, or the last 60 minutes, or the last 48 hours, or the last 100 days. You may change the number of channels, channels per page, and the length of each period. The data for the display is stored independent of the data logged on the memory card. The data for the display will be lost when power is switched off. You may select on the bottom menu the period to display The upper menu displays a state line or the channels of the page. Channels are not equal to inputs. You may assign any input to a channel. The button of a channel is in its colour, and displays its name. Clicking on the button of a channel brings the channel into the foreground and its y-axe is displayed. Clicking on >> changes the page and displays other channels.

To customise the board, you can write your own firmware application in C and download it into GigaLog-S.
