The AD218 uses a 24-bit Sigma Delta A-to-D converter to produce very high resolution measurements, typically up to 21 effective bits when sampling at 50 or 60 Sample/sec. The card consumes very little power and so is ideal for portable instrumentation.
Technical Features: 24-bit Sigma Delta A-to-D converter, optimized for sample rates of less than a few hundred samples per second.
Max sample rate is 1KSample/sec at reduced resolution 16-channel fault protect input mux switchable between single ended and differential topology.
Input ranges are software configurable from +2.5V/-2.0V down to +/-19.5mV in bipolar mode, or from 2.5V to 19.5mV in unipolar mode.
Power is available at the edge connector for signal conditioning, powering sensors etc.
Built in 16-bit counter with clock and gate inputs for event monitoring 8 general purpose digital I/O lines are available for control and status monitoring, each being programmable as input or output and having TTL compatible input thresholds, and CMOS type output drive capability.
