The standard available versions supports GSM wireless modems (HSDPA, UMTS, GPRS, EDGE), through a USB connection.

Elan's unique range of PCI<=>PC-Card adapters provides a quick, easy and cost effective way to use every PCMCIA and/or CardBus card on desktop PCs, CompactPCI or PXI systems. This means you can use your WLAN card, Compact Flash™ / MemoryStick / SmartMedia / MMC / SD card, or other special purpose PC Cards like Bluetooth, Modem, Fingerprint recognition or DAQ functions. Use your 3G Datacard on a Desktop PC with an Elan Adapter

Wireless internet access using GSM type networks is becoming increasingly popular for notebook computers, and is now in demand as a solution for desktop PCs.  Elan's PSeries support all PCMCIA compliant cards, including GPRS, UMTS, CDMA and EDGE cards so are ideal to allow you to use your 3G card in your desktop PC.
